People love to gab. It’s a social thing. And in some families, the gift of gab gets you noticed, attention and becomes part of how you belong and why you are significant. A problem develops when other people in the group (or family) rely upon that one person rather than develops the relationship with all the others. I realize now that I relied upon my mother to tell me everything that was going on with everyone else in the family(near and far). This made me feel close and part of the family, but in truth, it kept me separate and not part of everyone. It’s not her fault. It was mine for relying only on one connection-not cultivating others. When she died-I lost all of my connections bc in truth-I was only connected to her. I also was guilty of assuming her feelings and thoughts upon those she spoke about. A pattern I started to do with another family member as a young adult. We feel a certain loyalty to a person who gives such opinions. A truth to their reality. Yet, we really are just living their reality. So, today, I’m reminded…don’t believe the gossip. It is exactly what it is. An opinion of someone. Form your own opinion. Get to know that family member, neighbor, group member that might be being gossiped about. Facts are facts, but opinions are like…you know the saying 🫢🥹😂 #relationships #love #relationshipgoals #relationship #dating #relationshipquotes #life #lovequotes #quotes #relationshipadvice #selflove #couple #family #romance #mentalhealth #goals #follow #instagood #happiness #selfcare #instagram #happy #healing #like #motivation
