Lower Prices
Many businesses have special deals during this time of year. You may see lower room rates too!
Free Parking
No need to pay to park before you play! Free parking is available on Front Beach (Ocean Blvd on-street parking) and the Municipal Parking Lots through March 1, 2024.
Warmer Weather Possible
There is still a chance for mild weather in the Lowcountry during the Winter. Make the most of those 70-degree weather days on IOP.
Polar Plunge
Date: February 24, 2024
Presented by Law Enforcement Torch Run officers, the Polar Plunge benefits the Special Olympics. This fundraising effort helps athletes achieve their goals, live healthier lives, and have a sense of inclusion in the community.

Outdoor Recreation
- Bike, golf cart & moped rentals- cruise around the island while there’s less traffic. (Please note: motorized vehicles are not allowed on the beach. See beach rules.
- Recreation Center– Get competitive at the new outdoor fitness court, renovated pickleball courts or enroll in various programs and classes).
- Visit IOP County Park – Bring your family to the ocean-side playground.
- IOP Marina– take boat tours boat, kayak, or go paddle boarding.
- Launch a kayak or paddleboard at the Public Dock, located at the Marina.

Grab a warm drink from an island café or enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at local restaurants.
Oyster roasting season is here. Be sure to recycle your shells at Islander 71.
